Hi, I’m very interested in Linux but Im a Super Newbie and I’m having trouble deciding on the right distribution for me (Havent you heard this a million times?) anyway here is my problem, I need a distribution that can switch between reading and writing in English and Japanese (Japanese Language Support) with out restarting the operating system.

just bought today — too early to evaluate photos but wanted to alert potential buyers that the CD which has the users manual and all the computer software DOES NOT WORK for Windows 2000, nor does Canon offer any substitute online.

also, a review I read had mentioned incesssant auto-focusing. It true and somewhat disconcerting. Not sure I am happy with this purchase.

The new printer price for this machine amounts to false advertising because the "starter" toner cartride yields less than 1000 sheets at 5% coverage which means YOU HAVE TO FACTOR IN THE COST OF NEW TONER CARTRIDGE INTO THE NEW PRINTER PRICE. This puts the price point out of competition. I did not find this out until after installing and using the machine for less than 3 months at light volume. The paltry amount of toner in this starter cartridge is very dissappointing.

Installation also was bumpy requiring tech service call.

I now regret buying this printer and would have chosen another brand had I known. Rating: 1 / 5

I received the printer and it worked well with one exception. The CYAN cartridge showed 99% used? Luckily I had a new cartridge from my other Epson printer it its working fine with no problems. Good priner for the price I paid and the ability to print on CD’s makes this a must have product.

I’ve ordered this ink package before from Amazon.com and I’m happy to report it arrived as promised and the product is as expected – good quality printing, no problems installing it. Happy!
